Mentorship Program
In response to the growing need for career guidance among finance students, we are launching the UMFO Mentorship Program. This initiative aims to connect Asper finance students with distinguished Asper alumni and industry professionals in Winnipeg.
:Students will be paired with mentors based on their career interests and professional backgrounds to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.
Within the program we will have a Women in Finance Mentorship Program: This aims to address the gender imbalance in the industry by providing women mentees with women leaders.

Stock Market Challenge
The Annual Stock Market Challenge (SMC) is back at the Asper School of Business, offering students a dynamic way to apply their financial knowledge through a 5-month trading and investment competition. Participants manage a fantasy stock portfolio starting with $100,000 USD, competing for cash prizes based on the highest returns and the quality of a 1-2 page investment report.

Case Competition
IThe UMFO Case Competition is a new initiative offering Asper students a unique opportunity to develop their analytical and risk management skills through a structured contest that includes two rounds and an award ceremony.
Teams of 2-4 students will receive a week to prepare a case study before presenting their findings to a panel of judges.
